Mill Machining

Today we started to prepare the plexiglas parts that make up the front plate of the ICP.

We are waiting for the definition of the internal spaces later occupied by electronics.

The parts are machined on a table with 3 interpolated axes machine.

If on one hand it gives us a large working area, on the other hand it can give us problems with the undercuts.

Machining the parts divided into planks significantly reduces the margin of error and allows us to speed up production at the same time.

The Plexiglas used is 446 from Astariglas: it’s a PMMA with 33% diffusion capacity and fully recyclable.

The subsequent coatings will be made with non-toxic and environmentally friendly paints.
