The Simgears F16 DED completes the work of the ICP started two years ago.
The DED (Data Entry Display) located on the RIGHT of the ICP is used for system information, most often coming from the inputs of the Integrated Control Panel (ICP).
The original DED started as a Led screen with 24 characters and 5 lines.
The DED produced by Simgears is based on monochrome OLED technology and is accompanied by a proprietary software operating in Windows® Environment capable of autonomously recognizing which simulator is running (Falcon BMS – DCS F16 Module).
In fact, the program is able to detect whether either software is running and install the correct libraries.
The device is upgradable via USB through a simple operation on a Microswitch located at the base of the device.

| The current version of the libraries version 0.90 is fully compatible with Falcon BMS. Due to the incomplete communication of the characters made by DCS bios, some special characters are not readable and we are reconstructing the missing ones through a job performed in the background by our software itself. It will be possible to update the device independently and future releases will compensate for this lack not attributable to our DED. |
